America's biggest retailer Wal-Mart says it's taking any items featuring a flag considered racist by some off its shelves - in the wake of the South Carolina church shootings.

At the weekend, pictures emerged of the suspect - 21 year-old Dylann Roof - posing with the Confederate flag.

There are growing calls for it to be taken down from the grounds of the state capitol building.
