The funeral will take place this morning for five members of the Connors family, who died in the Carrickmines fire almost a fortnight ago.

Five members of the Connors family will be remembered later at the Church of the Ascension of the Lord in Balally in south Co. Dublin.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Derek Farrell, the parish priest of the Travelling community, for Thomas and Sylvia Connors and three of their children; Jim, Christy and baby Mary.

The five tragically lost their lives in the Carrickmines fire on Saturday October 10th, along with two of SylviaÂ’s brothers and two nieces, who were laid to rest on Tuesday.

Two of the ConnorsÂ’ children Michael and Thomas, survived, theyÂ’ll be joined by the wider Connors family, which has been devastated by this tragedy.

Removals will take place after mass to Wexford, where the family will be laid to rest tomorrow.
