The Head of the Construction Industry Federation has welcomed new mortgage lending rules.
Tom Parlon says making it easier to get a mortgage 'kills two birds with one stone', helping those in both the rental and retail markets.
Yesterday the Central Bank halved the deposit required by first-time buyers to just 10 percent.
