French police have carried out a controlled explosion on a car outside the Stade de France before tonight's European Championship quarter-final clash between France and Iceland.
Security forces decided to perform the explosion after investigating what they believed to be a suspicious vehicle.
Fans reported hearing a bang while arriving for this evening’s France v Iceland match at the Stade de France shortly before 5pm.
Controlled explosion near the Stade de France 5.32pm Paris time. Loud enough to sound like an uncontrolled one.

There has been no further information issued by police. The incident is not expected to impact on the match which kicks off at 8pm Irish time.
