A crew member with the long-running reality TV show "Cops" has been shot dead by police while recording officers trying to foil a robbery.
Sound operator Bryce Dion, died from a gunshot wound when police opened fire, hitting him by mistake in Omaha, Nebraska.
The robbery suspect was also shot dead - but it was later discovered he was armed with a pellet gun.
