The children of slain Limerick man Jason Corbett have returned home to Ireland this morning in the care of their father's family, following a custody battle with the children's stepmother in North Carolina.
Jack and Sarah Corbett and their aunt Tracey Lynch and her husband David Lynch landed at Shannon Airport off a United Airlines flight at 2 minutes past 7 this morning.
They were greeted by family members in a private room at the airport before making their way home to Limerick.
The Corbett family are now planning the funeral of Jason Corbett who was found with critical head injuries at his home in the US on August 2nd.
Speaking to reporters outside the airport, Tracy Lynch, said they were relieved to be home.
