The children of Jason Corbett have been placed under the guardianship of his sister Tracey and her husband David Lynch.
The 39 year old Limerick native died in a violent incident at his home in the US last week
His children Jack and Sarah were being cared for by their stepmother Molly Martens since it happened - despite her being a suspect - as police have said they aren't looking for anyone outside the home over Jason's Death.
She had separately applied for custody of them, and has been looking to adopt them.
