The jury in the Jason Corbett murder trial has begun its deliberations in the US.

The 39 year old was beaten to death in the bedroom of his North Carolina home two years ago.

Mr Corbett's wife Molly Martens and her father Thomas Martens deny the second degree murder of the Limerick man.

The pair claim they acted in self defence.
