The winner of Ireland's tastiest homegrown spud has gone to Co Cork for the second year running.

Cobh man Gavin Maunder has retained the coveted "Spud Love" title for his potato-growing prowess.

His "Pink Fir Apple" potatoes impressed the judges, in a blind taste test.

He came through a series of regional "spud-off" trials to win the national contest, which is organised by Bord Bia and G.I.Y.
