Two people have been arrested for counterfeit offences in Co Armagh following the discovery of clothing, jewellery and footwear.

Police carried out searches on the Blaney Road in Crossmaglen on Friday and recovered a large quantity of suspected counterfeit goods including - clothing with brand names Barbour, Ralph Lauren, Hollister, Michael Kors and Chanel.

Make-up, perfume, jewellery, watches and footwear were also recovered along with a small quantity of fireworks and bottles of poitin. 

Two rooms of the property were arranged as viewing areas while a third room was used as a storeroom.

A 39 year-old woman and a 44 year-old man were arrested for making or supplying articles for use in connection with fraud, possessing criminal property and possession of articles for use in fraud.

They have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
