Gardaí in Cavan have seized counterfeit goods with a street value of around €70,000. 

The seizure was made after the planned search of a premises on Main St in Cavan yesterday.

A man and a woman in their 30s were arrested at the scene and are currently being held at Ballyconnell Garda Station.

The goods seized were mostly DVDs and beauty products.
