A fire on Curracloe beach in Wexford has been brought under control.
The Defence Minister Paul Kehoe's visited the popular tourist spot this evening, after it broke out in the sand dunes.
He met members of the emergency services and Air Corps, which were tasked with putting out the blaze.
An AW139 helicopter left Baldonnel just before 7pm after its help was needed.
Minister Kehoe's commending Wexford Fire Brigade, especially its chief Fire Officer Paul L'Estrange, gardai, the ambulance service and the Air Corps.
