The Bill which provides for the creation of a new Appeals court has been approved by both houses of the Oireachtas.
The Court of Appeal Bill gives effect to the decision taken in the Referendum - which passed by 65 percent of votes.
The Justice Minister has welcomed the passage of the bill - Frances Fitzgerald is hopeful the court will deliver significant reductions in waiting time for the hearing of appeals.
At the moment there's a backlog of around four years for appeals to be heard at the Supreme Court.
The Bill will now go to the President for signature.
