Court of Appeal referendum passed by comfortable margin

Almost two thirds of the country have voted to set up the new Court of Appeal.

The referendum was passed with the support of over 65 per cent of voters.

The Minister for Justice Alan Shatter has welcomed the result.

He says the court will be up and running by October 2014, but that no decision's been made on the number of judges:
