The Taoiseach's revealed that the cow suspected of having BSE in County Louth was "bought in".
Tests are being carried out on the animal that died on the farm.
It was not sent for slaughter, nor did it enter the food chain.
Enda Kenny says he's "disappointed to put it mildly", but that this is probably an isolated case:
Meanwhile, The Minister for Agriculture says he's determined to find out how a Louth cow developed BSE.
It'll take up to a week to confirm if it's the first case of BSE here since 2013.
