A new trading floor which will employ 100 people is being opened in Dublin this morning.
Credit Suisse say that some of the new jobs will be filled from their London branch, but that the majority will be new hires in Dublin.
The new roles will include staff in the trading risk and office support sections of the company and will be based in the IFSC.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny officially opened the trading floor this morning.
He said: “Today’s welcome announcement of the creation of 100 jobs by Credit Suisse and the opening of its Dublin branch is very significant. It represents a strong endorsement of Ireland's reputation as a leading location for international financial services."
