Gardai searching for a missing teenager from Wexford say they're trying to establish the license plate details of the car he was abducted in.

Sait Canbullu was shopping in Wexford town at around half past one yesterday afternoon, when he was pulled into a dark coloured saloon car by two men wearing balaclavas.

A Child Rescue Ireland alert was issued last night, and remains in place this morning.

The 15-year-old is described as 5ft 4inches in height, of average build, with black hair and brown eyes.

When last seen he was wearing a dark grey tracksuit and blue/grey Nike running shoes.

Inspector John Ferris from the Garda Press Office says the nationwide search operation is continuing.

They're appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
