Fianna Fáil's spokesperson on Justice has criticised the government for what he claims is a serious under resourcing of An Garda Síochána.
Niall Collins comments follow the death of 62-year old carpenter John O'Donoghue in Doon, County Limerick.
Mr O'Donoghue is believed to have suffered a heart attack yesterday afternoon - after discovering his house had been burgled.
Two men remain in custody in connection with the incident and a Garda investigation's ongoing.
