Customs have seized 14,000 cigarettes at Cork Airport today.
The goods - worth more than 7 and a half thousand euro - were concealed in the luggage of two Lithuanian men who arrived on a flight from Tenerife.
The cigarettes represent a potential loss to the Exchequer of 4 and a half thousand euro.
The two men in their thirties were arrested and are being held at Togher Garda Station - they will appear in Cork District Court tomorrow.
