The government is preparing to announce a cut to the Universal Social charge and a cut in income taxes in its Spring Statement tomorrow.
The Finance Minister is to outline up to 1.5billion euro in tax cuts and spending increases in the Dail tomorrow afternoon.
Michael Noonan says half the money will be given back by reducing taxes and half will be in additional spending.
The Minister says the economy is growing strongly but he has to take a prudent course of action .
