An 18 year old male cyclist has died after he was struck by a car near Rosscarberry in County Cork.
The incident happened at Barley Hill on the Clonakilty to Skibereen Road at 7pm on Tuesday.
The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Cork University Hospital.
A post mortem is expected to be carried out later this morning. (March 9th)
The driver of the car, a man in his 60's, was not injured.
The road was closed following the crash to facilitate a forensic examination.
