Death Toll In Berlin Rises To 12

12 people are now known to have died and around 50 are injured after a lorry crashed into a Christmas market in Berlin.

The suspected driver is being questioned by police - while authorities have confirmed another man was found dead in the vehicle.

German authorities admit there are "many signs" it was intentional - while the White House says it appears to have been a terror attack.

British tourist Emma Rushton was metres from the truck as it ploughed into stalls -

The Taoiseach and Minister for Foreign Affairs have extended condolences to those affected by the tragedy.

Minister Charlie Flanagan is urging Irish citizens in the city to make contact with their families, while anyone here worried about Irish people in Berlin can call his Department on 01 - 408 - 2000.
