Migrants living in the "Jungle" camp in Calais will find out shortly if they are to be evicted.

A judge is to give a ruling this afternoon on whether a demolition of the camp can go ahead, with campaigners appealing for it to be postponed.

The judge visited Calais' Jungle camp this morning, ahead of a decision on whether it's legal to evict those living there by 7pm Irish time tonight.

A camp comprised of shipping containers which can house 12 people each was set up in recent weeks and around 750 migrants moved in. Now 750 more spaces are available in these shelters.

The charity Help Refugees is working on the ground in the Jungle.

Co-founder Lliana Bird says authorities have massively under-estimated the population of this part of the camp:

A group of migrants and migrants' rights groups have travelled to Lille this afternoon where the case for a postponement is being heard. A decision is due shortly.
