Graham Dwyer's defence team will begin presenting its case to the Central Criminal Court today.
The prosecution wrapped up its evidence last friday, after 37 days.
Mr Dwyer, an architect from Kerrymount Close in Foxrock denies killing 36 year old Elaine O'Hara at Killakee mountain in Dublin in August 2012.
