Tens of thousands of pro-democracy protesters have shut down Hong Kong's business hub - and are using social media and top-of-the-range technology to organise themselves.
Riot police used pepper spray, tear gas and baton charges yesterday in an attempt to clear the demonstrators, who are angry at Beijing's plans to vet candidates for Hong Kong's 2017 leadership elections.
The riot police have been withdrawn from Hong Kong's streets - but the demonstrators show no sign of moving.
