A niece of Fashion designer Ralph Lauren will appear in court in Co. Clare this morning charged in connection with an alleged air rage incident on board a flight on its way to JFK yesterday.
41 year old Jenny Lauren was travelling from Barcelona to New York when her flight had to be diverted to Shannon.
She was arrested by Gardaí at around ten to two yesterday afternoon and three charges were laid against her last night. She spent the night at the station and will appear before Killaloe District Court later this morning.
Gardai took six witness statements after the Delta airlines flight with 209 people on board was diverted as a result of the alleged incident.
The flight remained on the tarmac at Shannon for over 2 hours before continuing its journey to JFK.
