It's the moment every teenage music fan dreads - the breakup of their favourite group.

And now - it seems - One Direction can be added to the list.

It was revealed last night that Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson are to go their separate ways in March to focus on solo projects. 

A source close to the group has told The Sun newspaper that it's not really a split and they will get back together at some time in the future.

They aren't expected to tour their fifth album - which means their last show could be in Sheffield in October.
