In Germany a doctor who was shot by a patient at a hospital in Berlin has died.

The gunman is thought to have killed himself following the attack.

It happened at around 11am local time in the Steglitz district.

It's the fifth attack in Germany in just over a week.

Since last Monday ten people have been killed and dozens injured in four separate attacks. 

The authorities say they are not linked.

Security has been increased at airports and train stations across the country.
