The President of the IMO says plans for Free GP Care for Under 6s is “political interference” which will harm doctors’ ability to treat patients.
Dr Matthew Sadlier’s speech to delegates on the opening day of the conference singled out the proposals as “unworkable”.
He’s also targeted the Health Minister’s failure to publish guidelines for the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act - a delay he described as “a disgrace”.
