Doctors get standard alcohol measure

GPs are getting a Standard Drinks Measure - to help their patients understand how many units of alcohol they're

drinking.

The cup will serve as a visual aid for health professionals and patients.

According to the Irish College of General Practitioners - almost 12 thousand bed days were used for alcohol detoxification in 2012 - adding up to 11 million euro.
