Further measures will be introduced in our response to the coronavirus after a record number of deaths and infection rates were reported yesterday.

17 people lost their lives from Covid 19 while 325 new cases were confirmed.

3,235 people now have the infection here.

Doctors and nurses could soon be asked not to live with other people in shared accommodation to stop the spread of the virus.

Meanwhile, the health watchdog is to carry out a risk assessment to see which nursing homes need more help to deal with Covid-19.

It's one of the recommendations top health officials have made to deal with clusters of the virus in nursing homes.
