A number of dogs stolen from a pet farm in Co Kerry have been recovered.

Gardai say the animals, stolen from the farm on the Cork Road in Killarney, were found last night at a premises at Ballyhandle, Crossbarry in Co Cork.

4 Shih Tzu puppies, 3 'pug' dogs, a Yorkshire/Chihuahua cross, and 1 Golden Retriever have been reunited with their owners.

A number of other items were also recovered in the search including tools and electrical equipment.

No-one has been arrested and investigations are ongoing.
