Drivers are being urged to take extra care as there are icy conditions on roads in Munster, Connacht and east Leinster as weather warnings for snow and ice are in place.

There's an alert for snow in Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo.

While, a snow and ice warning is in place for Longford, Cavan, Monaghan, Galway and Roscommon where up to 4 centimetres of snow is expected.

Met Eireann issued the warning last night and it isn't excepted to be lifted until midnight tonight.
