Dublin Airport will celebrate its 75th birthday today.
The airport opened for business on Friday the 19th of January in 1940 with a single flight to Liverpool's Speke Airport.
Since then the airport's route network has grown substantially and now offers customers direct services to Britain, North America, Continental Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
To mark its 75th birthday, there will be musical entertainment from the 1940's and 50's and an exhibition in Terminal 1.
