Around 123 thousand five hundred rail journeys on 660 services were taken on the 14th of November last year.
Nearly half of all train journeys took place on the DART, in Dublin - which has nine of the top 10 busiest stations.
Cork's Kent station is the only station in the country to feature in the top ten, it's number six; with all the other stations in the Greater Dublin Area.
The figures, from the National Transport Authority, show 83 percent of all trips are taken in greater Dublin.
The busiest train in the country on the day of the Census - with 1,444 passengers - was the 8 a.m. DART from Greystones to Malahide.
