Kenyan Eliud Too wins Dublin city marathon

Kenyan Eliud Too has won the 35th Dublin Marathon in a time (to be verified) of 2:14:57.

Sergiu Ciobanu is the Irish Champion. Esther Macheria claimed the women's race, followed seconds later by last year's winner Maria McCambridge.

Patrick Monaghan from Naas Co. Kildare won the wheelchair section with a record time for Dublin.

The 26.2 mile route started at Fitzwilliam Street Upper and ends at Merrion Square, which is now closed to traffic.

Traffic diversions are in place:

There are some diversions to Dublin Bus, the 145 wont be using the flyover at belfied until this evening.

Merrion Square North and South are closed until 9pm tonight to facilitate the Marathon.
Rolling road closures will be in place along the route. Full details of these can be found in the event section of theaa.ie.
