Dublin Nightclub Lillie's Bordello Is Closing

First it was Club 92, and now another iconic Dublin club has announced it's closing down.

Lillie's Bordello - which is run by the Porterhouse Group - has announced the curtain will fall on the venue on January 19th.

The club has been open since the early 90s and in its heyday was a hotspot for celebrities such as Bono, Colin Farrell and The Cranberries.

International stars such as Mick Jagger and Rihanna have also been spotted at the club over the years.

Owner Liam Lahart says they have new plans for the Grafton Street building.

He explained: "Times are changing. We've been operating it for quite some time, and we've decided to leave it on a high.

"The nightclub business is quite difficult, and we're probably looking at more late bars than nightclubs for our model of business."
