A man has died after he was fatally stabbed in Dublin overnight.

The incident happened at the St Joseph’s Park halting site on Dunsink Lane where a 33-year-old man was fatally stabbed shortly after midnight.

The victim's body remains at the scene and a post mortem is expected to take place later today.

Gardai arrested an 18 year old man in the early hours of this morning and he is currently being detained at Finglas Garda Station.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who were in the area of Dunsink Lane last night to contact them.
