Oscar-winning actor Dustin Hoffman insists he has the "utmost respect for women" - following claims he sexually harassed a teenage intern.

Anna Graham Hunter says he made explicit comments, groped her and demanded he gave her a foot rub on set in 1985.

He says he feels terrible if he put her in an uncomfortable situation and has said sorry in a statement to the Hollywood Reporter.

I have the utmost respect for women and feel terrible that anything I might have done could have put her in an uncomfortable situation. I am sorry. It is not reflective of who I am."
