Ireland's had mixed fortune in recent years.
Having won the competition more times than any other country - seven time in total - Ireland has failed to qualify since 2013.
Hoping to change this, RTÉ held a Eurovision forum last month.
Next year will see Ireland looking to those in the music industry - with only songs that have been released or publicly performed after September 1st 2017 eligible to be entered.
