Families are set to benefit from a range of measures due to be announced as part of Budget 2023 tomorrow.

From next September, all primary school children will be given textbooks for free, while class sizes are also set to be reduced.

A 20% to 25% cut in childcare costs, and a double Child Benefit payment in November are expected to be included as part of the €14 billion package.

A €500 reduction, in the €3,000 annual Student Contribution Charge for third level, is also expected.

Social welfare payments increases of between €10 and €20 a week are also likely.

The point in which employees pay the higher income tax rate of 40%, will rise from €36,800 to around €40,000.

The Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe, and the Minister for Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Michael McGrath will reveal the full details of Budget 2023 in the Dáil chamber from 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
