Eating Disorder Charity Set Up Men's-Only Support Group To Meet Growing Demands

One in 10 people who contact eating disorder charity Bodywhys is a man or the loved one of a man struggling with an eating disorder.

To meet increasing demand, the organisation is a setting up a men's-only support group next month.

Psychotherapist Stella O'Malley says many teenage boys develop body issues after they become interested in healthy lifestyle trends:

She said many friends and families encourage their loved ones when they first become interested in their diet and exercise.

But Dr O'Malley warns many can see it change "beyond healthy and into something much darker."

BodyWhys says demand for its services across all age and genders has increased in recent years.
