eBay is to shed 2,400 jobs worldwide.
The jobs are to be cut in the coming months.
The company and its online payment subsidiary, PayPal, employ around 2,500 people in Dublin and Dundalk.
It's not yet clear whether the Irish operations will be affected by the job cuts.
