A Labour Minister says the means by which an elderly couple were evicted from their home this morning, appears to have been 'heavy handed' and 'disproportionate'.
The house Martin and Violet Coyne had been renting in Carpenterstown, West Dublin was repossessed by officials from the Dublin Sherrifs office this morning.
The pensioners are due back before a judge some time today for failing to vacate the property on previous occassions.
The couple say they were thrown out of their house in their night clothes by bailiffs.
