THE FINAL TV DEBATE of the election campaign takes place tonight with a lot on the line for all four participants.

But it also comes in the wake of the final opinion poll of the campaign - which tells us a lot about how much ground Fianna Fáil, and particularly Micheal Martin, are making.

In fact, such is the momentum that one TD is now setting the target of matching and surpassing Fine Gael's support for polling day.

Surely Fianna Fail couldn't now once again become the biggest party in Ireland... could it?
