A flight has made an emergency landing at Dublin Airport after a woman on board went into early labour.

American Airlines flight AA787 arrived in Dublin Airport at half past 1 this afternoon.

There was a doctor on board and the emergency services had been called.

The plane was heading for the city of Charlotte, North Carolina, in the US from Paris, France, before it turned around over the Atlantic Ocean.
