Emily and Daniel were the most popular names on passport applications for the under 3's in 2015.

The Passport Service has revealed more than 130,000 passports were issued to infants last year.

The list of names is issued to remind people to apply for a passport in good time ahead of the summer rush. 

134 infant passports went to girls named Emily and 162 to boys named Daniel.

The list of names shows the continued popularity of traditional Irish Names such as Aoife and Oisin.

However Zuzanna and Kacper were the highest new entries.

Welcoming Irelands new passport holders Minister for Foreign Affairs Charlie Flanagan says he's particularly pleased to see Charlie remains popular at number 11.

Minister Flanagan said “I would also like to take this opportunity to remind Irish people to check the validity of their passports and those of their families, and to consider renewing now, ahead of the summer rush.  Last year, almost 630,000 passports were issued, a quarter of which in May and June.”
