The Environment Minister has signalled he is considering some form of rent controls.

Labour has passed a motion at their national conference in Kerry that calls for laws to freeze rents for two years.

Dublin South West Deputy Eamonn Maloney says such a move would help struggling families and stop people being evicted and becoming homeless.
