EU Recalls Its Ambassador To Moscow

The EU has recalled its ambassador to Moscow for what it describes as "consultations".

Member states agree it's "highly likely" that Russia is responsible for the Salisbury nerve agent attack.

They're backing up the UK which has directly blamed Moscow for the attack on its soil, with traces of nerve agent found in Sergei and Yulia Skripals' blood.

German politician Manfred Weber says it's important for Europe to send a strong message to Russia:

'The European Council must give a very clear signal of solidarity to our friends in Great Britain. We have a common problem with the aggressive behaviour of the Russians and that's why Europe has to be united in this regard'.
