Independent TD Denis Naughten has revealed he has gone to the Gardai in the past over anonymous threats he's received.

He was responding to the news that his Roscommon-South Leitrim constituency colleague, Fine Gael's Frank Feighan, has notified the Gardai over a death threat he received in the post.

Deputy Feighan posted pictures of extracts from the letter on his Twitter account on Monday.
